Yes, and from the PRO plan onwards, our technicians carry out the migration — at no extra charge and with no limit on quantity. Files, databases, mailboxes, redirects, cron jobs and DNS records are transferred; certificates are reissued.

In the START plan, migration is a chargeable individual service and is billed per website. Some things cannot be transferred: third-party licences, access to payment providers and software tied to the previous provider. What is affected by this is determined after the inventory — and thus before the order is placed.

Usually under five minutes. Before the migration, the TTL of the DNS records is reduced to 300 seconds; the switchover only happens after a final database sync.

Beforehand, the complete copy runs for two working days in a staging environment, which you can test under a temporary address. Only your approval triggers the switchover.

Emails to the old address are forwarded for fourteen days afterwards. Only after this parallel operation do we recommend cancelling with the previous provider.

No. Every connected domain and every subdomain automatically receives a certificate via ACME. The term is 90 days, renewal starts from day 60 and runs in four attempts at six-hour intervals.

A wildcard certificate for the entire domain is available from the PRO plan. It requires a TXT record under _acme-challenge — if the zone is hosted with us, we set and remove it ourselves.

Custom certificates from other certificate authorities can be added. They are not renewed automatically; before expiry, we send reminders on days 30, 14 and 3.

Not by the number of visitors, but by concurrency. A PHP worker processes exactly one request; the plans include 2 to 96 workers per account. Throughput is workers divided by execution time.

Pages served from the cache do not occupy a worker. A website with predominantly static content therefore gets by with significantly fewer workers than a shop where every request touches a logged-in cart.

Nothing. An upgrade is possible at any time and is billed by the day; the additional capacity is available immediately.

A downgrade takes effect at the end of the current billing period. This is not to hold you back, but prevents capacity from dropping away in the middle of operations.

Mailboxes can be booked independently of hosting — a domain without a website and with mailboxes is a regular case. Aliases, forwards and distribution lists do not count as a mailbox.

For damage that is only noticed after months, this period is not enough. This is what the WORM vault is for, where points can be immutably committed for twelve months.

Yes. For operations, it is sufficient to point the A and AAAA records to our addresses; the zone can remain with the previous provider.

You should keep an eye on two records: the MX record if the mailboxes are moving too, and a CNAME delegation of _acme-challenge if you want a wildcard certificate. The rest of the DNS remains untouched.

If the zone is with us, both are omitted — Anycast DNS and DNSSEC are included at no extra charge.

The auth code for transferring a domain away — the password for changing providers — is always available in the customer account. It is neither requested nor delayed, and transferring out costs nothing. A .de domain is usually transferred in under 24 hours using the KK procedure (the provider change at the DENIC registry).

There is a complete export for the data: files, databases in SQL format and mailboxes as Maildir, i.e. one folder per mailbox and one file per message. It can be generated by yourself and is not tied to any notice period.

The minimum term is one month. Domains run until the end of the paid registration period and are not automatically set to multi-year terms.
